Ain't no party like a GDC party.
Now we've (almost) recovered from the jet lag, late nights, and good times, we wanted to reflect on our time at GDC.
Mooncolony Founder and Creative Director Emrah Elmasli headed out to San Fran with Head of Production Amy Paterson for the event, and it was everything from inspiring to exhausting in the best possible way. Whilst there, we hosted our first ever Mooncolony event: a little glimpse of our colony on the moon, brought all the way to America. 🌠 Emrah shares more:
"Every talk we’ve been to was very insightful and inspiring. The speakers were honest and transparent about what's happening across the industry concerning AI adoption, game development and funding in general. No one was trying gate keep information rather being as open as possible.
We also had the opportunity to attend to Game Developers Choice Awards and saw first hand the general vibe, the touching acceptance speeches and the types of games the players resonated with this past year.
As always, one of the best parts was meeting people both familiar and new. Getting to catch up and hear what's been happening and what the future is looking like. Its a difficult time in the industry but there’s still optimism and games being made. Alongside this, we hosted our own GDC party which was an amazing chance to reunite with and meet some wonderful games industry peers.
Ultimately, the overall vibe was very positive. We caught up with old friends and partners and met new ones. The nice weather definitely had an effect on the overall positivity as well. We cant wait to return back next year!"
Til next time, Golden City. 🌉
