Project Type2.5D Cinematic
ClientSupercell

Underestimate her at your peril!

This 2.5D animated cinematic was created to announce the release of Berserker, a new card in the Clash Royale Arena. She may be Clash's cutest character yet, but she's vicious with those cleavers...

Berserker was the fourth 2.5D animated cinematic we made for Supercell. In addition to developing the art style, the team wrote, directed and animated this cinematic alongside Supercell's creative team.

End-To-End 2.5D Animation Production

We created Berserker entirely from start to finish, from ideas generation and storyboarding through to illustration, animation, 2DFX and final tweaks. In all our animated projects, our teams work closely together to achieve a high-quality, cohesive result.

After our storyboard was approved by Supercell, we broke down each shot and divided the illustration work between different specialist artists. The illustration team worked with our animators to ensure that all the right elements were created on separate layers.

Then, our animation team was tasked with rigging all these elements and bringing the cinematic to life. This project was overseen by Director Dave Ferguson and Art Director Joris Dewolf. Their combined attention to detail resulted in a highly polished and impactful short, full of that trademark Supercell humour.
