AmyPaterson
South African-born Amy Paterson has spent 15 years working in Animation Production after graduating from Vega Design School in South Africa with a Brand Communications degree. Amy began her career in marketing at the Glasgow Film Theatre after which she discovered a passion for production which led her to take on a myriad of roles as a runner on live action short films and music videos, before landing her role as a PA in an Animation studio. Across her time she has worked on every type of production role and project style, from PA all the way up to Senior Producer and Head of Production.
Amy has worked on high profile projects including working on all the Art for the Emmy-winning Lost In Oz, and collaborated on a variety of work for client's such as Riot Games, Bungie and 343 Industries. She wears many hats and keeps the production machine running at optimum capacity across projects of all shapes and sizes, assisting with decision making across the studio and providing developmental support for the production team. She has a keen passion for animation and video games and loves working in a world that combines both! If she can play Fable, Stardew Valley or Skyrim, whilst watching Dragonball Z (or a terrible disaster film) in the background then she is at her happiest.
Away from the screen she tries her hand at anything crafty and recently completed the 6000 piece Hogwarts Lego set. She's also trying to grow vegetables in the greenhouse.
I became aware of Mooncolony about a year ago and started following the awesome work. I love anything stylised and working with the Art teams on projects was always my favourite part of the project production process (shh, don't tell the others) so the job at Mooncolony was a bit of a dream come true.
