David joined Mooncolony in January 2023 as our Finance Director, overseeing finance and business strategy. David joined us from Emmett, where he had spent 16 years, progressing from Management Accountant to Finance Director. During this time, Emmett grew significantly, eventually leading to a part sale in October 2021. David has also held finance roles in the media, manufacturing and tourism industries. David first studied AAT, followed by CIMA and CMA (US). In 2006 he became a CIMA Fellow, and in 2014 completed a Directors program at Cranfield School of Management. David has a lifelong passion for gaming, starting with a Sinclair ZX Spectrum in the early 80s before moving to PC gaming and consoles in the 90s. David is currently enjoying his Playstation 5. When not gaming, he enjoys learning to play the piano. David lives in Thurlby with his wife, three children and dog Lottie.
